Kaspersky Internet Security is effective anti-virus and anti-spam software that helps you to protect your computer from viruses, spyware and hackers. Steps
- Check and make sure that your second computer is online before you install the software. The Kaspersky requires an Internet connection to activate and validate your subscription.
- Insert the Kaspersky installation CD or double-click the installation file you downloaded, the program will inspect your computer to ensure that it meets the basic requirements for the program. It will take few minutes and after the task will be done, it will pop up a dialog box
- Click on “I accept the terms of the license agreement” when the dialog box pops up. This is a standard software license agreement.
- Click “Next” to continue’
- Type your serial number into the box provided. If you purchased it online, your serial number will be available on your order confirmation. If you are using a disc to install Kaspersky, your serial number will be available on the disc envelope. Then click “Next” to continue
- Click on “Regular Installation (recommended)” when the installer asks you which type of installation you want to perform. Only perform a custom installation if you are familiar with the software and want to change the installation preferences. Tampering with installation preferences, if you are unfamiliar with them, can make less effective and can even cause your computer to run slower. Click “Next” to continue
- Type in a specific name for the PC that you are activating Kaspersky on when the “Activate Now” dialog box pops up. Use a unique name that you have not used when activating the product on other computers, or you will get an error. It’s best to use something that identifies that specific computer, such as “kid’s” or “work” Click “Next” to continue’
- Verify that your product is active by viewing the confirmation dialog box that lists the expiry date, computer description, and serial number. If the product did not activate, you will not have up-to-date anti-virus protection.
- Download the necessary updates for the software and scan your computer for viruses and spyware.
